MISSIONS

Across the Street. Across the Sea
We are committed to creating ministries with lasting impact!

At Lifepoint, we take the mission of “becoming like Jesus and doing His work” very seriously. One of the ways we do this is by creating enduring ministries that will hopefully outlive us. Here are a few of the ministries that were started by faithful Christ-followers at Lifepoint, with the goal of being the hands and feet of Jesus to our community.

Waterford Impact

In Waterford As It Is In Heaven

Lifepoint has made a lasting impact on the Waterford community through the establishment of The Well and Healing Springs (founded by Dana Bosnack) and Lifepoint Chapel. The Well, a renovated 1901 farmhouse, serves as a gathering place where women and girls experience God’s love and forgiveness through fellowship and programming. Healing Springs provides housing, life skills, therapy, and biblical teaching for young women ages 18–30 as they discover their God-given destiny. Lifepoint Chapel, the oldest church in Waterford, has been restored as a welcoming place of worship and spiritual renewal.

Pontiac Impact

Rebuilding Pontiac. Restoring Lives.

Lifepoint has touched countless lives in the community by responding to needs with compassion and action. Out of a small closet in 2010, Oakland Hope was born when Margie, our receptionist, began offering food to struggling families. Today it provides free groceries to hundreds each month, supported by a thrift store with clothing and furniture. In 1988, Lifepoint launched outreaches in Pontiac that grew into The Power Company Kids Club, now a thriving ministry dedicated to building lasting relationships with urban youth and equipping the next generation with skills, opportunities, and the hope of the Gospel.

Global Impact

Across the Sea.

As we carry out our mission of “becoming like Jesus and doing His work,” our desire is to be obedient to God’s calling to care for widows, orphans and the poor, not only across the street, but also across the sea. For this reason, we have partnered with What Matters Ministries & Missions, whose vision is to impact and change the global crisis of forgotten, abused, and discarded children and widows in developing countries by providing self-esteem and value through education, housing, food, and health care.
